Other racers seem to be always encountering injury whenever they race but they do not mind at all. It's as if injuries are a part of their doctrines in racing. I have a racing buddy, Alfred, who suffered from a head concussion. The doctor advised him to give up racing and let it heal for months. He was racing as early as 13 and he couldn't dare give up the thrill so he didn't heed the warning. The last race was a pure disaster. He skidded off the road after a fellow rider recklessly hit his bike. A result, he lost balance and his tires squeaked and almost exploded. Good thing there were paramedics nearby. So you see, a
racer's injury and mishap is not solely related to skill. He can suffer a great deal from other rider's recklessness and lack of better judgment.
