Recently, popular singer and songwriter Rockie Lynne had his motorcycle shipped to Las Vegas in order to join a bike ride along with other celebrities last Sunday. The big event, which preceeded the Academy of Country Music Awards, was intended to raise
funds for charity. As such, Lynne along with other country music artists joined around 1,000 bikers who paid $30 each for the ride that started at the biggest dealer of Harley-Davidson in the world down to Las Vegas' Fremont Street.
Lynne was accompanied by the likes of Dierks Bentley, Ira Dean (Trick Pony), Big Kenny (Big & Rich), and Troy Gentry and Eddie Montgomery (Montgomery and Gentry). It must be noted that Lynne also heads a yearly motorcycle ride in his home state Minnesota as a tribute to servicemen who died in combat. Unlike Minnesota, Nevada requires all its bike riders to wear helmets.
Meanwhile, Keith Urban,
Nicole Kidman's fiance, was also present during the event. He declined though to grant interviews after Kidman publicly announced their engagement. The Academy of Country Music Awards has raised around $1.5M for charity foundations dedicated to music awareness and education.
